Welcome all to our new term, new financial year. AGM was held on the 18th of June 2016. Significant and prospective issues were discussed and new committee members were added to our visionary and working team. I personally thank Edna Wilson, Evanne Hull and Lulu Mitchell, all my mentors and great leaders of the pasts. They are the ones who give me encouragement, advice and acknowledgement for all the things I’m doing for the Society. Also thank you to Ulinda & John Sandford, our guardians, for being in a Society the whole time. And lastly, thank you to all our loyal members and dedicated committee members who are purely committed in keeping and serving our Society. Long Live Taranaki Filipino Society Inc.!!!

TFSI would like to express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of Bob Frost. Bob was the husband of Emie Frost, our loyal couple. Bob Frost was the one who designed our official TFSI Logo. Bob’s creation of Society’s logo will be remains and respected in the future. Thank you Bob for your great contribution. Rest in Peace.
Masquerade Ball was organised last month. Thank you to all involved and everyone were definitely had a great night. Thank you to our two young performers Clayr Asia who played piano and Aljeah Gutang who rendered few songs. Well done girls. Congratulations to Jim & Vita Hotter for winning our Ballroom Dance Competition. Also congratulations to Femie Hatcher & Nonoy Decena, our fancy masquerade mask winners of the night. Thank you to Prescilla & David Ban for the complimentary gift basket for the winners. Well done organising team!

Plans for Pistang Pilipino Sa Wellington 2016 is well under way. TFSI is proud to introduce Jenny Gutang as our official TFSI Beauty Pageant Candidate for “The Search for Miss Phils-NZ 2016”. Under 19 Basketball Team will also participate in basketball tournament. TFSI Festival Dance Group is also gearing up for the biggest show in Pistang Pilipino 2016. Please support our team.
