From the President’s Desk – July 2017

Greetings to everyone

The TFSI annual general meeting was a great success, and thanks to all members who attended and participated in this annual event.

I would also like to thank you all for putting your trust in me, and electing me as the new Society President. I am a mother of four, three girls and a son. I am also blessed to have a very supportive husband, Romel. Currently I work at Max Pennington’s Auto City as the Assistant Accountant. I am also an active member of CFC (Couples for Christ) and the coordinator of our social ministry. Like wise I am the Treasurer of St. Vincent de Paul of St. Joseph Church a Catholic Charity/Lay Organization. I love the challenges and the responsibility of each position that I am handling, and always trying my very best to perform these duties as expected from me, with GOD’s help.

In every organization that I’ve been involved with, the key to success is the unity and respect among member. The support of each and everyone is very vital for our society to prosper. Remember that the Filipino Society plays an important role for Filipinos here in this beautiful country. And it preserves our culture. It is a way we can share who we are with other nationalities, and the next generation.

I would like also to take this opportunity to announce Gemma Evans as the Vice-President, Edna Wilson as the Treasurer and the re-appointment of David Ban as the Secretary. For the committee members re-appointment of Lulu Mitchelle, Ulinda Sandford and Clarita Nono and the newly appointed committee members, Flora Gaunt, Jonathan Jimenez, Jenny Gutang , Micheal Decena, and our ever supportive past president Chona Garcia. I would also like to say a special thank you to Chona for stepping up as president during the year, and kept us all together.

I am amazed by how willing very busy people are, to put up their hands, and take on tasks on behalf of the Society. I would like to thank you all for your considerable contributions.

Looking forward to seeing you all at all the events over the coming year.

May GOD be always with us.

President- Romellia Rosal
